Dear BPE Families,

Sravani Vemisetti said, “If you are hanging in there, that means you still haven’t reached your limits… so don’t give up” and that is surely true this year. 2020 brought us many trials and tribulations but we made it to 2021 for a fresh start. As a school, we are continuing to practice social distancing, wearing masks, and washing our hands to keep the students at BPE safe and healthy.

As I am sure you have noticed, communication is very important in making a positive home-school connection. There are many ways the school communicates throughout the year. Teachers send home newsletters, letters, and/or emails on a consistent basis and are always willing to meet to discuss any concerns. As a building, there are many ways to stay informed:

• Monthly Calendar: In the beginning of the month, a calendar of events going on in the building is sent home. Keep this in a place where it’s visible as it is a great resource.
• School Website: This is updated frequently and is also another great place to look for important information.
• Weekly Email: Every Sunday around 1pm, you will receive an email from me with how the previous week went as well as what’s coming up in the future.
• Twitter: @BPESchool This is the best way to see what’s going on in the building on a daily basis. There you will see pictures of students working and having fun in school. There will also be reminders and updates to keep you informed in a quick way.
• Remind App: These messages go right to your phone and are the quickest way to receive information in an emergency. Text @bpefam to 81010 to join

We are all on the Energy Bus and transforming negative energy into positive energy, creating positive visions for our days, keeping up with mindful Mondays, and smiling a lot!

Thank you for all your support so far this year and I look forward to a great start to 2021.
