School Improvement Team
The Role of SIT
The goal of our School Improvement Team (SIT) is
to improve the educational performance of all students. The shared
decision making body discusses/decides issues which deal with academic
performances of students and the effectiveness of the operation of the
school. The SIT committee may also make recommendations about areas
which may be beyond the direct control or responsibility of the SIT
team.
SIT Defined
SIT is the school's organization for school-based
planning and shared decision making. It operates under the guidelines
established through the district plan for site-based management.
Composed of faculty, administration, and parent representatives, the
committee meets on a monthly basis. Parent representatives are chosen at
May's PTA meeting. They provide a report at monthly PTA meetings and in
turn convey parent concerns to the SIT team. If you have a concern or
issue you would like addressed, please use the SIT Commmunication Form,
located in the front office or e-mail your questions by clicking this link.
