Bayport-Blue Point student artists have begun showcasing their artwork at the Bayport-Blue Point Public Library this month. The collaboration between the school district and the library will provide the community with the opportunity to view the stellar artwork that is being produced by students enrolled in all of the district’s schools throughout the school year.

During November, teacher Ms. Whitney’s students at Academy Street Elementary School have hung artwork replicating the style of artist Eric Carle. Upon viewing the work, library guests will recognize the familiarity of Carle’s collages.

Ms. Whitney explained that the exhibitions will change each month and rotate throughout all of the schools. James Wilson Young Middle School will exhibit in December.

The district congratulates the following students on being chosen to exhibit their artwork:

Kindergarten: Gwendolyn K. and Ava D.
Grade 3: Sydney C., Kelsey K., Camden P., and Brecken S.
Grade 4: Fiona B., Mason C., Elric D., Jackson G., and Marley L.
Grade 5: Brendan D. and Charlotte O.
